The word talisman comes from the Arabic word <em>talsam<\/em> through the Greek word <em>teleo\u00cc\u201e<\/em>, which means \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I complete, perform a rite\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. Through exploration of systems and patterns, \u00c3\u201cl\u00c3\u00adna has identified a set of primordial symbols and turned them into tangible realities that can be worn on the body. The <em>Primitiva-Talismans<\/em> can serve to deepen our sense of self as wearable \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcobjects of awareness\u00e2\u20ac\u2122.<\/p>\n<h4>The Primitiva Form<\/h4>\n<p>The <em>Primitiva<\/em> project is elaborated through parametric software programmes based on self-replicating patterns found in nature and inspired by the mathematical beauty of biological forms. The name, <em>Primitiva<\/em> refers to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153the primitive, the rudimentary\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, primary and basic. Its shape is inspired by the serpentine curve that William Hogarth described as the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcline of beauty\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 in his tract on aesthetics, <em>The Analysis of Beauty<\/em>, in 1753.<\/p>\n<h4>The <em>Primitiva-Talismans<\/em> &#8211; A New Language to Live By<\/h4>\n<p>Just as the unconscious world is structured like a language, the Primitiva-Talismans have been organised into a taxonomy of archetypes, dividing them into four \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcKingdoms\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, each overseen by a single \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcGuardian\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 figure, and consisting of families of similar tropes.<\/p>\n<p><em>Primitiva-Talismans<\/em> are the outcome of imagination applied to fundamental existential questions expressed through digital technology.
